LOS ANGELES – –Entertainment Universe has released a new trailer as the upcoming pay-per-view and DVD release of the racing drama, “Snake & Mongoo$e,” draws near. “We all gotta die someday, Snake… Can’t live your life in fear of that,” says Tom McEwen’s character in the 1:40 long trailer.

Billy F Gibbons, inductee with ZZ Top into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame and a well-known car enthusiast said after seeing the film, “It’s one of the most authentic and moving — in every sense — racing films ever made.”

Racing and movie enthusiasts have been anxiously awaiting the nationwide release of the feature film “Snake & Mongoo$e”. The film, which had a limited release in 20 cities in the summer and fall of 2013, will be available for digital download on as well as On Demand by select cable providers on March 4th. It will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on April 8 through major retailers.

Premiering in select theaters, with a series of star-studded events that crossed the nation and included stops in Reno, Detroit, Indianapolis and Los Angeles, the turbocharged film riveted audiences with an eye-opening look at the birth of drag racing’s popularity and the partnership with Mattel that launched a phenomenon.

“Snake & Mongoo$e” continued to leave its mark on today’s automotive world when it was screened at the 2014 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in January, becoming the first film ever screened in the legendary automotive event’s 43 year history.

“Snake & Mongoo$e,” the incredible true story of the greatest rivalry and friendship in drag racing history, pits Don “The Snake” Prudhomme (Jesse Williams of LEE DANIELS’ THE BUTLER, “Grey’s Anatomy”) against his longtime friend and on-the-track nemesis Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen (Richard Blake of Dragonball: Evolution). From the fiery days of early speedways through the explosive peak of their popularity, these are the triumphs and tragedies behind the legendary races and Hot Wheels partnership that created a global phenomenon. Ashley Hinshaw (CHRONICLE), Kim Shaw (She’s Out of My League), Fred Dryer (“Hunter”), Ian Ziering (SHARKNADO), Tim Blake Nelson (O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?) and Noah Wyle (“ER,” “Falling Skies”) co-star in this nitro-burning drama of the two men who battled business and each other to change motorsports forever.

Featuring a soundtrack that includes some of the most notable artists and anthems of the time, including Elvis Presley’s “Spinout”, “Snake & Mongoo$e” perfectly captures an iconic era while dropping viewers into the heart of the 1960s and 1970s.

How to find us at the PRI Show

Well, success can lead to the unexpected.

The Performance Racing Industry Show at Indianapolis’s Indiana Convention Center is a “full house” in terms of booth space.  To meet the demand, the Show management sold booth space in the hallways, meeting rooms and banquet rooms on the main floor.

The Foundation’s booth — 6113 (see the map below, click link to enlarge) — is in a large banquet room, in the center of the building, between the Green and Yellow Halls.  Technically, we are in the Yellow Hall, which is the new section, built behind the older part of the Convention Center (the Green Hall).

Access is gained from what is known as “Hoosier Way” — a hallway — which runs East-West across the center of the building, and serves as the main link between the Yellow and Green Halls.  There are 10 doors leading into the ballroom from Hoosier Way.

Booth 6113 is located along the back wall, right side as you enter the ballroom (you will be facing toward the Green Hall).  There are a total of 67 exhibitors in the room, under Aisles 6000 and 6100.

While this location may be difficult to find during show hours, Show management has told us the exhibitors not located in the main exhibit areas will be able to access early arrivals at the Convention Center an hour before the exhibits on the main floor open.  All of the entrances will be open — from the escalators from Hotel walkways, the street level doors on Maryland Street and Capitol Avenue, and all of the hallways leading from the Lobby paralleling Maryland Street to Hoosier Way.

We will be ready to meet and greet you at 8:30 AM on Thursday, and 8:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.  We look forward to seeing you!

The Wild About Cars site focuses upon the historic Detroit cars and automotive history, with motorsports playing a very prominent role.  Wild About Cars has been a staunch supporter of the Foundation from the early days, and if you are into automotive history, you owe it to yourself to look around the site and be transported back to the Golden Days of Detroit.
